At Viktor-Art, we use CO2 lasers not as a random additional service, but as a precision production tool supporting sculpture, artistic joinery, product identification, and premium elements. We perform wood marking, laminate engraving, descriptive plaques, brushed gold laminate elements, PVC, plastics, stencils, inlay details, and detailed lettering.

CO2 technology allows for repeatable, clean, and highly accurate detail where manual work would be too slow or unreproducible. At the same time, the design, material selection, and final finish are left to our designers and craftsmen.

What do we use a CO2 laser for?

A CO2 laser works particularly well on non-metallic and laminated materials. In our workshop, we use it to mark wooden products, create markings, descriptions, plaques, signs, and small informational and decorative elements. This solution allows for the elegant, durable character of the marking without a heavy, industrial appearance.

In premium designs, we often utilize engraved laminates, including brushed gold, silver, black, white, PVC, and other decorative finishes. These can be used to create plaques, signs, display items, collection labels, lettering details, and components that complement wood carvings or interior décor.

The greatest value of this technology comes when laser is part of a larger design process. We can create a sign precisely tailored to the dimensions of a sculpture, frame, base, display case, information board, or scenographic element. We design the text layout, letter size, contrast, material, and mounting method to ensure the sign appears as an integral part of the project.

Detailed lettering, inlays and stencils

The CO2 laser offers exceptional precision for fine lettering, ornamentation, fine lines, and repeatable shapes. This allows us to create elements that require perfect alignment: stencils, inserts, markings, inlay layers, information plates, and decorative details.

When it comes to inlays and multi-material projects, it’s not just the cutting or engraving line that matters. Tolerances, material thickness, element mounting, wood grain direction, surface finish, and color are also important. That’s why we utilize laser technology alongside CAD design, woodworking, hand-fitting, and final finishing.

Premium hallmarking: wood, plaques, display details

Marking can be subtle or highly visible. We can add a studio logo, signature, project name, serial number, object description, dedication, foundation plaque, or technical marking. On wood, the effect depends on the species, hardness, color, moisture content, and surface finish. On laminates, we achieve a very clear, elegant contrast.

For sacred, representative, and exhibition designs, it’s particularly important that the plaque or sign doesn’t appear random. The material, color, typeface, and proportions must complement the overall design.

We don’t treat the CO2 laser as a separate, standalone service. It’s a tool that supports our sculptures, models, renovations, design elements, templates, and construction/decorative details. This ensures that the client receives a product tailored to the overall project, not a pre-made item from a catalog.
