Premium Wooden Sculptures
Artists, Large Projects and Ornaments
Viktor-Art creates wooden sculptures for projects that require scale, character, and responsibility for every stage of the process. We create large figures, ornaments, casings, organ casings, bas-reliefs, reconstructions of historical details, and sculptures commissioned by artists, designers, and architects.
Our advantage is that the entire studio operates as a single entity. We have a sawmill, wood preparation and drying facility, a carpentry shop, modelers, 3D scanning, CNC machining, hand carvers, and a paint shop on-site. Projects aren’t shuffled between random contractors, but are managed cohesively from material to final finish.
We don’t focus on small souvenirs. We’re interested in premium works: intricate sculptures, large-scale figures, architectural details, ornaments for prestigious interiors, and both sacred and secular projects where wood is considered a noble and durable material.
Sculpture for artists, designers and discerning investors
We work with clients who come with a vision: a sketch, a model, a photo, a 3D scan, an old part to recreate, or an artistic concept. Our modelers can build a mold from scratch, prepare a realistic model for scanning, or develop a digital version of the design for sculpting and CNC machining.
Sculpture is created in our work through a dialogue between technology and the sculptor’s hand. The machine helps with scale, repeatability, and geometry, but the final expression of the face, the fluidity of the garments, the rhythm of the ornament, the light on the surface, and the character of the work depend on human experience.
Thanks to our own carpentry shop and many years of experience in gluing material for sculptures, we can prepare wood for specific stresses, grain direction, size, and assembly methods. This knowledge cannot be replaced by a machine or a 3D file alone.
We create large-scale sculptures, sacred and secular figures, ornaments, bas-reliefs, furniture details, casings, organ casings, reconstructions of monuments, architectural elements, models for further development, and individual projects for artists and designers.
Religious sculpture is an important part of our experience, but our studio extends much further. We also undertake secular, designer, representative, and architectural projects. We can create everything from a classical figure to a modern sculptural object, an ornament for a luxurious interior, or the reconstruction of a missing detail.
In large figures, we use technological solutions developed over the years by woodcarvers: conscious preparation of the material, stress control, and, where the scale requires it, hollowing out the form from the inside and closing it to reduce the weight and the risk of the wood cracking.
Hand-sculpting and technology in one studio
Hand-sculpting remains the heart of our work. CNC, scanning, and modeling help create the shape, but the chisel is responsible for the expression, subtlety, and quality of the final detail. Therefore, our creations don’t look like automatically cut models, but rather like refined sculptural works.
This working model is particularly well-suited to large orders, where it is necessary to combine the artist’s vision, structural requirements, wood constraints, schedule, and very high surface quality.
Wooden sculptures - utilitarian
We create sculptures and functional elements for premium interiors: furniture ornaments, pilasters, capitals, frames, decorative panels, casings, stair elements, architectural details and forms designed specifically for a specific space.
Each such element must be not only beautiful but also appropriate for its function, the scale of the interior, the material, and the method of assembly. Therefore, we combine precision carpentry, sculpting, and technology.
Wooden sculptures – advanced technology
Advanced technology allows us to tackle challenging projects: 3D scanning, modeling, 3/4/5/6-axis CNC milling, wood preparation, gluing, hand-carving, painting, and gilding. Everything is part of a single process, not a list of separate services.
This allows us to collaborate with the best artists, designers and investors who need a contractor who can not only cut a shape, but also understand the vision and bring it to a finished sculpture.
FAQ: Premium Wood Carvings and Large Projects
Do you carry out secular projects, not just sacred ones?
Yes. Religious sculpture is part of our experience, but we also undertake secular, artistic, design, architectural, representative, and hotel projects.
Do you work with artists and designers?
Yes. We can enter the project from a sketch, model, scan, photos, or a conversation with the designer. Our job is to translate the vision into wood, technology, construction, and hand-finishing.
How are large wooden figures made?
Large figures require material preparation, technological divisions, mass control, fastening, and often hollowing out from the center. This reduces the risk of cracking and ensures stability even at large scales.
What does one studio organism mean?
The sawmill, drying, carpentry, modeling, CNC, sculpting, and painting facilities are all on-site, ensuring consistent decisions about wood, construction, geometry, carving, and finishing.
